About

Built to ship. Built to stay up.

Foundrex is a small senior engineering studio. We design and ship production AI systems for teams that need to ship — agents, LLM features, chatbots, and full SaaS platforms. No strategy decks, no junior labor, no rip-and-replace.

The Foundrex studio

Manifesto

We started Foundrex because teams kept getting stuck between two bad options — agencies that ship slide decks instead of software, and freelancer marketplaces that ship code no one can maintain. So we built a third option: a small senior team that scopes tight, ships in weekly loops, and hands over a real production system at the end. No theater. Just shipped software.

The story

We're engineers, not consultants.

Foundrex started in 2024 when we kept watching teams hire firms that wrote beautiful pitch decks and then quietly subcontracted the actual work to people who had never met them. The product would limp into a staging environment six months later, the agency would invoice, and nobody could maintain what was left.

We thought the job should be simpler: scope the smallest version that's worth shipping, write the code in tight loops with the client in the loop, and hand over a deployed system at the end. So we built the studio that did exactly that — senior engineers only, no juniors hidden on the invoice, no consulting layer between you and the people writing your code.

Since then we've shipped 15+ AI products across 20+ industries for the teams we've worked with. We're still small on purpose. We still scope tight on purpose. And we still say no when something doesn't fit.

Founders

Talk to the people writing your code.

Foundrex was started by two engineers who got tired of watching teams pay agencies to subcontract their products. Here's who you're actually hiring.

If we can't ship something real for you in six weeks, we'll tell you up front. That's the whole pitch.

I started Foundrex because every founder I talked to was tired of paying agency rates to watch their product stall in someone else's backlog. The work I wanted to do — actually shipping AI systems that real users touch — wasn't being done by the firms charging the most for it.

So we keep the team small, the engineers senior, and the loops tight. Everything we build goes to production. Everything we hand over is documented. And if a project isn't a fit, we say so on the first call instead of taking the deposit and figuring it out later.

Working software beats status updates. Every week, every time.

I've spent the last decade building production systems for everyone from early-stage startups to Fortune 500s. The pattern that actually works is boring: small senior team, weekly demos, fixed scope, no consulting layer.

At Foundrex we obsess over the handover. The code you get from us is documented, deployed, and yours. No black boxes, no lock-in, no "call us when you want to change something." That's table stakes for us — it should be everywhere.

How we operate

Six things we don't compromise on.

These aren't aspirations — they're how every Foundrex engagement actually runs. If we can't promise them on a project, we don't take it.

01

Ship over slides

Every engagement ends with a deployed system real users touch. We don't sell strategy — we sell working software.

02

Seniors only

The engineers who scope your build write the code. No juniors hidden on the invoice, no consulting layer between you and the work.

03

Tight scope, weekly loops

We carve the smallest version worth shipping and build it in one-week increments. You see real software every week, not status decks.

04

You own the code

Clean repo, full docs, deployed infra, all handed over at the end. No black boxes, no lock-in, no proprietary glue.

05

Honest no

If we can't ship something real for you, we say so up front. We turn down work that doesn't fit — every week.

Ask the engineer building your product, not a sales rep or a ticket queue. You get a real answer the same day.

How we engage

Three ways to work with us.

Start a conversation

Fixed-scope build

6 weeks, fixed price, deployed

We scope the smallest version worth shipping, agree a fixed timeline and price, and hand you a production system at the end. Most engagements look like this.

Best for —Teams with a clear product they need shipped fast.

Embedded squad

Sprint into your team

We slot two or three engineers into your existing team for a fixed window, working in your repo and shipping inside your release cycle. Faster than hiring, no recruiter fees.

Best for —Teams that need senior capacity now without growing headcount.

Production retainer

We stay after launch

After ship, we keep a small retainer to handle the first real iterations — model tuning, perf, the things you only discover once real users hit the system.

Best for —Products in their first 6 months of production load.
